DELL Latitude D430 eats up the GlobeSurfer Icon
DELL Latitude D430 eats up the GlobeSurfer Icon 7.2 USB modem.
DELL Latitude D430 specifications:
12" Widescreen
Intel C2D 1.2Ghz
2GB DDR2 memory
80GB hdd
And it has the litle WWAN port so a 3G card can be added.
DELL also sell there laptops configured with 3g data card.
So this laptop has a few was to go online.
LAN (Local Area Network)
WLAN, WI-FI (Wireless LAN)
WWAN, 3G, (Wireless wide area network)
And bluetooth so you could connect thrue the cellphone.

One slot for WLAN and the WWAN is for the wireless data card.
Under the battery you will find the SIM card slot.
On this picture you se the Option GlobeSurfer Icon 7.2 USB modem that has bin opened along side with the WWAN slot.
Its a Mini PCI Express card inside the GlobeSurfer Icon 7.2 and that is the one we are going to put inside de laptop.

Here is the card in place and the antenna connectors.
On the card they have markt one A and one M, (it stands for Aux and Main) so you connect the cables right.
The sIM card and the data card in place.
In the BIOS.
Now it stans "Cellular device = Installed"
